COVID-19

Covid-19 Alert Level 2

We assume that you’ve heard the news? Everywhere in New Zealand, bar Auckland will be in alert level 2 from midnight tonight. We thought we’d update you on what level 2 looks like for us at Betta Inspect It.

Our inspectors can now provide their services for all customers. At level 3 we could only conduct a building inspection if it was in relation to a property sale. At alert level 2, we can conduct building inspections for any reason. Our customer service team is ready to receive your call and book your building inspection today.

So what is different you might ask? Well, our inspectors still have to wear the correct PPE (personal protective equipment) such as gloves and face masks. They also need to ensure that they keep 2 metres between you and them to ensure they follow social distancing rules at all times. All of our equipment will be sanitised regularly during the inspection and after completion and the PPE gear worn at each individual property will be wrapped and disposed of to ensure no contamination. All inspectors will be scanning and documenting their movements for contact tracing purposes.

We ask that you give us the space to do our job, and sometimes this might mean leaving the house or the room. This will help us keep you safe and us, as we will be able to stick to the 2 metre social distancing rule as set by New Zealand Government.

At Betta Inspect It we take health and safety very seriously. This is why we have gone to the lengths of updating you on what our inspectors can and can’t do in alert level 2. Our call centre will ask you a variety of covid-19 related questions upon booking your building inspection, and we trust that your answers will be accurate and truthful.

At no time will our inspectors operate outside of the above rules. These rules are set for the safety of our inspectors as well as you. We believe that the above steps ensure we can provide an effective means to operate safely.

We look forward to working with you in the near future.
