About Marty

Marty has been in the construction industry for over 36 years, where he finished his apprenticeship with Wilcon Homes in the UK in 1988. Subsequently, within a short period he had started Regan Construction and was involved in the major refurbishment of a listed building in UK.

In 2002 Marty emigrated to New Zealand with his family and settled in Whakatane and now lives in Manawahe. Additionally, after hours he picked up the boxing gloves and opened a community-based box fit gym for all ages, which supported EBOP Life Education Trust. This led to Marty being the head coach for a local Fight for Life event in 2012.

In his spare time, Marty and his wife love to support the All Blacks. His love of rugby has found him travelling over the years for many of his children’s rugby games.
