About Simon

Simon has been in the building industry for over 20 years with a National Certificate in Carpentry and Adult Education he is also a Certified carpentry trainer with NZQA AND BCITO. All this makes him an ideal building inspector.

Outside of working his interests are farming, hunting, and fishing family and friends.

His wife Sarndra is a Certified Trainer in Hospitality and Customer Service as well as holding level 6 Health and Safety papers. Given her background she ably handles the administration, accounting and scheduling of Simon’s home inspection work.

Their eldest son Simon, also known as Buddy, has a background in sales and carpentry and is the Referral and Promotions Liaison person for the clients and stakeholders.

Simon provides the full range of home inspection reports for Betta Inspect It’s clients including: pre-purchase building inspections, pre-sale building inspections, Methamphetamine testing and Asbestos sampling.

“All our building inspections Taupo reports are produced electronically and accessed via an online link,” he explains. “We are able to complete them within hours of the site visit. They are written in plain English, include an easy-to-read summary, a traffic light “level of concern” rating system and lots of accompanying photographs.”

Like all of Betta’s home and building inspectors Simon comes to the role with a wealth of practical building experience and is easily able to explain any aspect of his inspection and resulting report.
